About Me

Hi, I’m Jane!

Do you have student loans? Car loans? Credit cards? Are you trying to kick your last lingering debts to the curb to free up money to pursue other passions? Or just make a little wiggle room to breathe? And maybe buy a Starbucks every once in a while without feeling buyer’s remorse?

If so, you are me. Well, you were me. Two short years ago.

Now I’m 100% debt-free.

Not long ago, my family and I were saddled with $81,400 worth of consumer debt. With a whole lot of Dave Ramsey, oodles of creativity, selling a house, and a healthy dose of prayer, we were able to pay off every penny of the debt in about 2 years. You can read the whole story here!

(If we ever meet in the real world, please pinch me. I still can’t believe this is my story to tell!)

At first, I didn’t want to share my story because, let’s be honest, talking about money is downright terrifying. Especially when you’re discussing a debt-load of almost six figures. Oh boy. Money – and particularly a mountain of personal debt – still feels taboo. Many believe that their personal worth as a human is bound to their income and amount of debt. But that’s absurd!

That’s why I decided to rise above my fear and share my story with YOU to provide practical ways to save money, time and channel your creative side to dump debt and live your dreams.

Yes, you can still splurge once-in-a-while and still make real financial traction and reach your goals.

Most of all, I want you to know that you’re not alone. You’re stressed out with bills. You work HARD. You wonder if (and how? and when?) the crushing debts will ever be paid in full. I want to tell you, if you want it – it will happen. So let’s make it happen together!

About Jane

I should also warn you that I’m not ultra-frugal by nature. I don’t coupon. I adore coffee that tastes like the season and I have a crazy hard time saying no to a girl’s night out. I’m a natural extrovert. I need to be around people. Out in public. Preferably at Starbucks.

Budgets are simple if you hole up in your house. The beauty of finding creative ways to save is that you won’t have to cease and desist from all of life’s pleasures that cost a buck or two. I want to help you find the sweet spot between saving and spending so you can accomplish your goals and still love your life.

And above that, I want you to find what you’re crazy passionate about so you can make money doing something you love. If my husband and I didn’t love home design and saving money, we would have never been able to buy and sell a fixer upper in 6 months and change our entire financial future. But home renovation is definitely (absolutely, positively, insert-every-big-adjective-here) NOT for everyone. What are you good at? What have you been interested in your entire life? What makes you wake up in the morning? Let’s channel that and turn around your finances too!

Thanks for taking the time to meet me. I’d love to meet you – send me a message or email. 🙂
